PCES Academic Plan - SCC Assurances Form (Rev Feb 2022)
- Some areas of the Academic plan needed to be edited to be more specific
- Specifically math was updated to reflect that as a school we are working towards using a more cohesive math program
- Social studies was taken out. Teachers will still cover social studies, but we won’t be doing any focused PD’s for social studies
- NGSS and computer science were also updated to be more specific
- Financial Academic plan approved by Lucricia and Katherine

- 1. Yes and no - we have all roles required, but each role was filled voluntarily due to changes in Admin, instead of being voted in
- School community meeting was conducted to share the school data and gather input on student priorities on March 9th, 2022 - signed by James and Renee

- Developing academies - an ambassador program (student leaders)
- Develop and sustain HMTSS based on school design, academic needs, social/emotional needs, physical well-being
- PCES will have improved opportunities for the success of EL students
- PCES will help improve overall daily attendance

KEEPING US ON TRACK:
- March 2022 – Deadline for new SCC Waiver Requests with HSTA Checklists submitted to the Complex Area Superintendent is Friday, March 4, 2022. Plan/host a Community Meeting for parents and community members.
- April 2022 – Academic Plans and SCC Assurances due by April 15th. Nominate and elect /SCC members for vacant positions for SY22-23.
- May 2022 - Complete SCC principal survey and submit to CAS by June 3rd.
- June 2022 - Complete SCC Self-Assessment Survey by June 30th.

● ESSER Funds ○ PCEL is getting $220,000 from ESSER Funds ○ Money is being received for the next 2 years ○ Input will be taken about what funds are needed for ○ Major Focus areas ■ Health and safety ■ Accelerated learning ■ Social emotional learning ○ Fiscal plan ■ Minimum 23% of funds for learning loss mitigation ■ Minimum 1% go to summer learning/enrichment ■ 1% to comprehensive after school programs ○ PCEL ESSER Funds Plan ■ Academics ● Reading foundational skills ● ($34,000) Reading programs ■ Social/emotional ● Support students transitioning back to full in person learning ● ($120,000) New playground ■ Health and safety ● Improve safety in classroom ● Provide tools for custodians ● Electronic sprayers ($5,500) ● Air purifiers ($25,000) ■ First drop of ESSER funds will be used for health/safety

● Talk about our change of schedule and vote for approval ● Schedule change ○ For bell to bell minutes we are short ○ Total news to be 1,800 minutes per week; we are currently at 1,770 ○ Faculty would like to add 30 minutes to Friday, starting in 2nd semester ○ Friday end time would be 12:45pm ○ Unanimously approved by SCC
● Need approval for other employees to sign checks for the school. ○ Proposing to add new Account Clerk Reinalda Trinidad. TA Principal James Suster ○ Unanimously approved by SCC
● Go around and discuss any other new business from all stakeholders ○ Momilani El. did a vaccine clinic last week ○ American Heart Association would like to do a presentation/activity for students; it is also a fundraiser for American Heart Association ○ 4-H could possibly partner with garden club ○ Renee has connection with Mari’s garden; they’re asking if we want to start aquaponics again ○ ● SBA tests show drop in scores in ELA, math, and science (Distance learning) ● Improvement is expected this year ● PCEL is showing higher scores than complex/state scores
