Common Core State Standards
Students are taught the Common Core State Standards Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects and the CCSS for Mathematics.

In April 2024, the Hawaiʻi Board of Education approved the revised Hawaiʻi Common Core Standards for English Language Arts (HCCS-ELA).

NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards)
From 2019, Hawai'i schools implemented the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) framework.

Computer Science Standards (CS)
In 2021, the Hawaii State Legislature signed into law a requirement for all public and charter elementary and middle schools to offer Computer Science.
