Principal's Message

November 2023

Aloha Pearl City Elementary School Ohana,

I hope everyone had a great Fall Break and students are re-energized for the 2nd quarter. November brings the start of the holiday season and with that comes holidays and some great school events. We are currently in the middle of our Parent Teacher Conference schedule. As you may have noticed, we have taken parent feedback and made the conference blocks longer this year so parents have more time to speak with the teacher and parents also have more time to transition from class to class.

On October 20, PTO hosted a movie night and it was a huge success! We had around 300 people show up for the event with everyone getting a free hot dog and popcorn. It was great to see all the families and students having a great time together.

On November 8, we will be hosting a Choose Aloha Night led by Dawn O'Brien. She will be teaching families about our Social Emotional Learning program we adopted this year: Choose Love. Dawn is very entertaining and we will have food, give-aways, and picture taking at the event. If you did not turn in your RSVP for this event, please do so ASAP.

Other events coming up this quarter are the Mini-Carnival on November 22  and our Flurries of Fun Night on December 8th. Please be on the lookout for more information on these events coming soon.
